He loves the diversity of our customer base - the passion owner operators have for what they do and how their trucks look, the dedication of small towing business owners and the business acumen of the larger towing companies.
Dale’s varied responsibilities include working with sales staff and production to provide the high quality trucks our customers deserve.
A friendly, easy going manner is one of the many assets Dale brings to CTE. No matter the problem, he finds a solution and gets onto the next task, no harm, no foul.
In Dales spare time he enjoys the outdoors, hunting, travelling and time at the cottage with his friends and family.
June 1 2019 Harold Markle announced the promotion of Dale Hartung to President responsible for the day to day operations of Canadian Towing Equipment.

Having grown up in the towing industry, Tracy understands many of the challenges towing professionals face and has a lot of respect for the work they do.
Tracy strives to keep her finger on the pulse of the company, and is responsible for all aspects of business administration.
Tracy loves working with the CTE team to overcome challenges, achieve company goals and pursue continuous improvement.
In her spare time Tracy enjoys travelling and going to the family cottage.

Nathan started in the towing industry in the 80's and started as a sales rep for CTE in 1997. He has a wealth of experience with tow trucks, car carriers and heavy wreckers.
No matter how big the deal or how long it's taken to put together, when the day is done Nathan loves to hear a customer report how well he was treated by CTE.
Nathans hobbies include muscle cars, horses and socializing with friends.

Matt originally started working for CTE in our Toronto Branch Service Department in 2011. Matt was later promoted to Toronto Branch Service Manager. Matt left us in 2018 but remained in the industry gaining experience at a corporate level as an Operations Manager. Matt returned to CTE in 2019 as our Service Operations Manager in our Ayr location after Wayne Humphrey our long time Production Manager retired.
Matt has a passion for the towing industry and a willingness to solve issues that may arise.
Outside of work Matt keeps busy with his two children along with supporting his wife through her many successful marathons that she has competed in. Matt also enjoys sports and home renovations.

From the first time Harold Markle pulled a car out of a ditch in 1978, it was clear he was meant to be a part of the Towing Industry and embrace the challenges and opportunities that it presented. With nineteen years operating a successful towing business, experience developing a training course for the industry and five years of heavy equipment product development, Harold knew he had acquired the background and understanding necessary to provide quality products and service towing professionals needed. Thus Canadian Towing Equipment (CTE) was born.
During his time working in heavy duty product development with Vulcan Towing Equipment, he gained valuable insight that he immediately put to work at CTE. In addition to this, his experience training the Canadian military on the operation of the Vulcan military recovery trucks resulted in an in depth understanding of heavy tow truck requirements.
As Vice President of Miller Industries Distribution, Harold gained a global perspective of successful towing and recovery sales and service outlets. Now as CEO, of Canadian Towing Equipment, Harold's passion is reflected in his dedication to the growth of the towing industry.
In his spare time Harold enjoys travelling, golfing and going to the family cottage.
